Good filter performance has its price: lower water flow (approx. 2-3 L/min). But with special taps, the best filter results and comfort are not mutually exclusive. You have the choice between so-called 1-way faucet and 3-way faucet. Both have in common that the filtered water can be taken from a separate spout and at the same time you get the usual high flow rate with unfiltered water (e.g. for washing dishes).

Which of the two models you choose is a question of taste and also depends on the available space in the kitchen. For anyone who is still looking for a suitable faucet for their water filter (under the sink), we have put together an overview with all the advantages and disadvantages of both types of faucet:

1 Way Taps

    • Existing tap can still be used.
    • Inexpensive to buy.
  • Disadvantages:
    • Additional drilling required for installation.
    • The second outlet pipe can be a nuisance.
    • Unsuitable where space is limited.

3 Way Taps

  • Advantages:
    • All in one: take the water very elegantly.
    • No additional drilling necessary.
  • Disadvantages:
    • Only a few models available with a shower function.
    • Limited selection in terms of design and quality.
